How Click to Call works with Salesforce

|When you open up Salesforce, Click to Call will automatically highlight any phone numbers to allow you to send text messages or call those numbers from any of your designated phone numbers (see screen shot one).
You will also see a prompt when you hover over the numbers, saying 'double click to dial'. You then click the dial button to make the call and you are free to enter any notes in the dialog box and end the call by clicking the 'end call' buttton.
Once you have then finished making notes, you can click the 'end notes' button which will close and save the dialog box. The notes then appear within the notes page of your Salesforce CRM system, along with the time and date of the call, ensuring that every call is tracked automatically from within Salesforce with a full contact history. We even embed a link to the call recording of the call within Salesforce so any Saleforce user looking at the account can playback the call from within Salesforce.
The second screenshot hows the contact history being automatically updated - this is done even if you don't get through so that the attempt to contact the customer is tracked - very useful for customer care and billing scenarios.
