Magnetic North’s Cloud PBX simply and easily enables desktop tools that enhance communication and collaboration and enable your team to be productive and more efficient.
Possibly the most powerful component of the Unified Communications revolution, Presence enables your team to see at a glance the status of their colleagues, and open up instant messaging chat or voice calls with them with one click. Presence automatically knows when a user comes on to the network and monitors and updates their phone status so you can see who’s on the phone, in meetings, available or busy. Users can configure alerts when close team members sign in or out and become available to talk to.
Cloud PBX IM delivers rich user to user instant messaging using either our free client for PC, Mac or Linux, or using your Magnetic North Video softphone (if installed). Customers can also use their own preferred IM apps to connect as our service supports the XMPP open standard for Instant messaging.
Instant messaging users can create ad-hoc chat conferences inviting multiple colleagues to the conference to contribute.
Optionally customers can enable federation between their private chat platform hosted on the Cloud PBX and other companies, such as customers or partners. This integration, known as Chat Federation, is available on request to organisations using Microsoft Lync and Cisco Jabber chat environments.
Using the Magnetic North clients for Apple iPhone, Android Mobile and iPad/Android tablets, users can still be available via presence on their mobile and answer questions and interact with colleagues on the fly.
When users are not online our Unified Communications tool will automatically store any messages sent to them and forward them when they log back in, meaning that if someone drops off the network for a few minutes because their laptop runs out of power, no messages are ever lost.
If your organisation has already deployed Microsoft Lync on premise then our Cloud PBX can integrate to that existing platform and provide powerful inbound and outbound calling call recording using a SIP trunk. Our presence connector can update Lync with “on the phone” information so Cloud PBX and Lync work well as a fully integrated presence solution.
