We have data centers located in San Jose, California and Atlanta, Georgia and these are mirrored at other locations in the United States. We have various other data centers which are located across the world, including in London Docklands UK .We are connected to numerous phone company operators and have several internet connections to ensure resilience. Every day of the year, we typically peer with seven different internet providers simultaneously. This ensures that if service is ever lost to one supplier, we can switch automatically to another so that we seamlessly continue to service our customers. Every call is routed through our multiple resilient connections to our carrier partners, of whom we have more than four in each country that we work in.
A key principle of our data center operations is security. We work to the highest security standards follow ISO27001 best-practice. Our data centers operate at ITSEC security standards and are accredited as PCI Compliant. They also have many physical and logical security processes in place including passcard control, CCTV, escorted access, and many more.
Data is scanned by two separate intrusion detection systems and anti-virus systems plus resilient firewall technology. Our customers connect to us over secure 128- or 256-bit SSL connections (online banking level), or via secure VPN or direct private links if necessary.
Our platforms are extremely resilient and each component is paralled with another, so that if any of the components failed, our service will continue to operate seamlessly. This includes amongst many others: numerous data switches, multiple firewalls, resilient data paths and clustered servers. All data is backed-up online and it is distributed daily to secure locations off site, to ensure business continuity and on-line restoration.
