If you’re not sure what SIP trunking is, here is a brief explanation:

SIP trunks enable companies to switch their  traditional telephone connections to Voice over IP (VoIP). This is possible by migrating your voice calls to your internet connection, rather than using expensive legacy ISDN lines.

This technology is fast being adopted by firms that want to reduce fixed-line rental costs and utilise the power of the internet to bring them lower call rates. This has a huge reduction for monthly call costs and line rentals - not only this, it is also  a much more flexible alternative.

Another advantage is that  current phone numbers can be retained, also if you move offices or  relocated temporarily for disaster recover purposes. This minimises disruption and call forwarding charges.

If your existing office telephony system, ACD or PBX already natively supports SIP phone lines, then you will be able to connect immediately using either your current internet connection service (this is subject to the available bandwidth and ability to prioritize voice traffic through your firewalls) or a  new direct connection provided by us  (SDSL or Leased Line). For best quality, we recommend 36Kbps per concurrent VoIP call.

"I don’t have a SIP PBX?”

That isn’t a problem! We can easily supply you with an ISDN gateway which will connect to your existing platform, or you can replace your legacy system with our Hosted PBX solution.

“What will be quality be like?”

There is no need to worry about internet voice quality. We are able to supply you with  a  private link devoted only to your site which will support between 10 and 60 concurrent calls without having to route via the public internet.
